Ecclesiasticus 1:1-10. Mark 9:14-29

Knowledge, wisdom, understanding, power: all are gifts the Father seeks to give to all committed to His will and loving purpose. All things are possible within this context, and in this context all followers in the way are charged to let a sense of the possible grow and develop in all they think and do.

But there must also be a growth in love, love for the Father, love for the one and many whom you daily meet and commitment to the dynamic of the Father’s will and loving purpose. All things work for good for those who love in absolute self-giving.

And finally there needs must be a constant openness of heart and mind to the gifts the Father seeks to pour into the heart and mind of every faithful and obedient follower in the way and continual readiness to respond in faith and trust and love. A simple discipline of prayer and self-denial is necessary.

I, your strength and your redeemer, am always near at hand and seek to share with you the joyful silence of eternity with the Father in and with Our loving Holy Spirit.
