Amos 3:1-8, 4:11-12. Matt. 8:23-27

The winds and waves are subject to the Father's laws and serve Our purpose in His glorious world. And He is Lord of all creation. So is He able to subdue the winds and calm the waves according to His will and loving purpose. Through His Word all things were and are created and through His Love they are brought into His most loving purpose.

Just so the buffetings of human life are often felt like storms which threaten and endanger life itself. But I am present in the storms and in the danger, waiting to be brought into the fear and the dismay. Storms pass and little changes in the scenery of life, but storms in life and living can bring understanding and deep calm to the soul as I am taken into heart and mind and made the helmsman and the power for action in the way.
