Job 1:6-22 . Luke 9:46-50

The Father Who created all that is in Heaven and earth continually creates through the
dynamic of His love . The natural world is fecund, and reveals the glory and the promise of His loving purpose. Mankind He has invited from the beginning to share with Him the joy and the dynamic of creation, and through the power of love to make that contribution to the created world which in due course perfects, fulfils, and brings them to the fullness of His Being which is the Father's loving purpose for them from the beginning. But down the course of time man has refused his glorious destiny and used his power for selfish and for wicked ends. So he has brought suffering on himself and others, and not fulfilled the Father's loving purpose for him from the beginning. But many have been true to the great commitment and their glorious destiny through every circumstance, returning to their hope when they encountered failure. For this I lived and died and rose again - to be the power of love to cleanse and heal and bring to their perfection the sons of men who, in their daily lives sought wholeness for themselves and others and so co-operated with the Father's loving and creative purpose. So has it been from the beginning, is now, and ever shall be to the end. All suffering can be creative when it is offered to the Father's loving purpose. For this I died. For this I live within the hearts and minds of all committed to self-giving love and bring all to wholeness and perfection according to the Father's will and loving purpose
