St. Ignatius of Antioch
Philippians 3:17-4:1. John 12:24-26

Be faithful to the hope and to the calling you are given daily. Commitment to the Father 's will and loving purpose is the underlying principle in the triumphant life: you are enlightened and enabled by Our saving, sanctifying love as you continue faithful. Through My Indwelling and the light and guiding of Our Holy Spirit all is accomplished in due time and the reward is now and through eternity.

Do not despise the day of small things. Hour by hour and day by day My ministry on earth proceeded. Faithfulness is obedience in love and self-giving. Enjoy obedience - regard it as your joyful and your loving service. Pray constantly to discern the Fathers will: believe and know that you will know it as you live faithfully .

Know that I am with you always. Draw deeply from the wells of contemplation where the riches and resources of the Father may be found. I , the Mediator and Saviour of all who seek in faithfulness and trust , bring all the faithfully committed to the Father . Be simple in your prayer and life: so will you touch the hem of deep reality .
