When Jesus received the news of John the Baptist's death He withdrew to a lonely place where they could be by themselves
Matthew 14:13

Sadness is an intrinsic part of life and has its place in every human life. Death and bereavement visit all in time; to grieve is natural and right and necessary for healing. But let there be joy too for the one advancing in eternal life. I gather all the faithful and bring them to the Father's Presence at the end of time and in the process of eternity.

When John the Baptist died I suffered sadness and bereavement. And I renewed My dedication to the Father's will and loving purpose. Increasingly I came to see the way of man's redemption lay through pain and suffering, and I tried to bring My faithful followers to an understanding of the fellowship of suffering love. So do I now. So have I done through countless ages and shall until the end of time.

I heal the heart and mind which suffer in bereavement and I orientate the faithful soul into the Father's will and loving purpose as it commits itself to Me in love and quiet confidence.
