Jesus said, "In the world you will have trouble. But take courage - I have conquered the world !"

Men may and do ask in what sense I have conquered the world. Does sin not still abound, and evil - is it not rampant ? Is there not sickness and sadness, failure to achieve , horrendous problems in basic, human living ? In what sense, then have I overcome the world ? In respect of sin have I overcome by My incarnation and atonement . No sin ever committed need separate that person committing it from the Father's love and from attaining to His Kingdom. By My saving grace , the blood of all the martyrs , the lives of all made holy in Me - these plead and obtain for the suppliant sinner liberation and new life. All that is needed in the first instance is a stopping in his tracks of the persistent sinner and for the one who occasionally strays a looking to Me in love and penitence and in faith. Regarding suffering - have I not shown the way by patient and confident commitment to the Father ? All who love must expect to suffer because of those who sin against love and so grieve the Father's heart. And through their suffering and loving in Him and through My indwelling the process of redemption is progressed. Wounded souls are healed and helped towards their destiny in the Kingdom of the Father. And death I harried and destroyed for all people and for times through My resurrection so that all may, in the fullness of time, rejoice in fellowship in the Father.
