Friday, August 12th
Jesus
said, " Pray and you
will receive that your joy
may be full."
John
16:24
Settle yourself down when
all has been done in the
day which and relate to
Me. Make this a priority
: if you are tired offer
your tiredness, then it
will not be a hindrance.
How much greater profit
in re-creation you will
find this than relaxing
into a television programme
you will experience as you
practise it. Begin with
short periods and work at
bringing the whole of your
being - mind, body and spirit
- into focus. If you wish
have paper and pencil at
hand and use them for two
purposes , one to note down
and release from your mind
items of action which suddenly
possess your attention,
and - of greater import
- to itemise and to bring
to your attention those
people and these matters
which Our Holy Spirit wishes
to pray in and through you.
This process will bring
both pain and joy - pain
because it will be a small
part of the redemptive process
of the world, and joy because
you are being so used and
you will experience the
en-joying within the deepest
part of your being of Our
Holy and life-giving Spirit.
Be strong in these things.
Spurn drift and laissez-faire.
Each day must have its quota
of work and activity. But
that day is incomplete and
impoverished which does
not contain a willed and
dedicated approach to the
Father through Our Holy
Spirit in the power of my
Presence.
