Jesus said to Matthew, "Follow Me…" And he got up and followed Him
Matthew 9:9

Never let it be thought that either My call to Matthew or his response was a random act. So much thought and longing for better things had jostled in the mind of Matthew along with the realisation that money was essential for survival and that it really looked the same whoever it came from. And he could see that although he paid out all but the agreed amount to the Romans they ruled the Country and kept the peace: many of them were finer men than some time-serving leaders of his own people. But to be rid of cheating and harassing the widow, to exchange a constructive, loving way of life for this cynical time-serving …..! .So did Matthew's mind run, and so it was the Word of Life enabled to approach and call him.

Let it be known and fully understood that every thought in the mind of each and every one the world over is known to the Father. Each loving response to Him and to His children is seen and rejoiced in. And every good commitment and charitable act becomes a very part of the fabric of him who lovingly responds to the loving approach of the Word of the Father. As it was with Matthew so it is with all like-minded children of the Father who are My brother, sisters and co-workers.
