Tuesday, July 4th
Jesus stood up and rebuked the winds and seas and all was calm again. The men were astounded and said, "Whatever kind of man is this?
Even the winds and the sea obey Him."
Matthew 8:26-27

The Son of Man is Lord of the whole earth. The winds and waves indeed obey Him. And He brings calm and peace to all the Father's beloved children who seek it in Him. But it is given to the children of the Father to give or withhold their loving obedience to the Father's good will and purpose. So for all who perversely turn from the Father's way and bring upon themselves contrary winds and perilous waves there is the situation is dangerous indeed. Yet the means of restoring peace and safety and stability is never far and can be bestowed when it is required.

For those whose frail boat is rocked by storms not of their making I am continually present. I am in the wave and wind, the contrary current and the dark night. They need only to reach out to take the hand outstretched to steady, calm and empower them No harm can overtake them for they are encircled and held in the strong, saving hands of Immortal Love. And if they are faithful to the end they will safely come to the courts of eternal joy.
