Maccabees 1:10-15,41-43,54-57,62-64. Luke 18:35-43

‘Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen’ (Hebrews 11:1). That which the Father yearns to give to each one of His beloved sons and daughters is what they most need, namely, the knowledge of the way to satisfaction and fulfilment in the way which is latent in the mind and heart from the beginning. Let one and all be ready and alert to respond to the Word the Father offers each and every one according to the need and grasp the opportunity to receive it with praise and thanksgiving.

All receiving the gift of faith are called to let it grow in and through the grace and power of Our Holy Spirit and as the Father’s Word is sought, received and responded to in faith and trust and absolute self-giving. Through prayer and meditation and through silent waiting on the Word in quietness and confidence progress is given in the Way in time and through eternity.

The faithfulness of one becomes the faithfulness of all according to the Father’ will and loving purpose. All who deny the Word of Truth endanger their own souls and together harm their families, community and nation.
