St.
Ignatius of Loyola
1 Corinthians 10:31-11:1.
Luke 14:25-33
Be totally dedicated to
the Most High, father of
all in heaven and earth
and creator of all that
lives and moves and has
its being. Realise that
you have nothing save what
you have been given, and
all is given that you may
glorify the Father and serve
your brothers and your sisters
near and far.
And constantly recall as
you seek to serve your heavenly
Father and His world that
it is through constant openness
to His will in the grace
and power of His love that
the way is found and power
to do it in faithfulness
and love.
Follow daily in the steps
of the Son of Man who sought
the Father’s will
in all things and who came
into the world not to be
served but to serve and
to give His life as a ransom
for many. Take up your cross
daily and follow me that
I may fulfil in you the
good purpose of the Father’s
perfect will and glorify
the Father in your obedience
and faithfulness.
