St. Matthew
Ephesians
4:1-7, Matthew 9:9-13
Grace is the Father’s love
in action and it is given as it
is sought to build the one and many
into life eternal. All are offered
it and it increases in the heart
and mind as response is made in
constructive action. I am beside
all who seek a better way than they
have known, calling to commitment
to the Father’s will and loving
purpose, Our Holy Spirit there to
lead and guide.
My beloved Matthew had already
set out on the way to which I called
him through his dissatisfaction
with the deviousness of his occupation:
he was ready to respond to our call.
So he found the Way, the Truth,
the Life and gave himself in absolute
self-giving.
Stay close to be, believing, beloved
of Me and of the Father. Plant your
steps in Mine and I, the Son of
Man, will lead you to the Lord of
Glory. Remember, I am with you till
the end of time and into the fulness
of eternal life.
