Dedication of St. Mary Major
Jeremiah 26116-24. Matthew 14:1-12
Apocalypse. 21:21_1-5. Luke 11:27-28

Do not let the troubles and the pain of living in a fallen world discourage or dismay you: realise that suffering is the price of freedom in a fallen world. But it is not the end: it has been a beginning for the one and several called to make the final sacrifice in self-denial and self-giving - indeed many have been called and been true to the witness they were called to make.

Offer all that you endure to Him who has created you and who calls you to the fulness of his life and the power of His love. Pray for understanding of My coming into His most glorious world and for commitment to the meaning of it and the purpose for it. Through the love, obedience and faithfulness of My beloved Mother, honoured down the many centuries, I lived and died and rose from death and offer My risen life to all faithful and obedient in the way. Love, honour her in silent prayer and public worship: in honouring her you honour Me.
