As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for You, O God
Psalm 42:1

The soul will always long for that which is beyond its reach in mortal life. For it is destined for eternity, and He who brings all things to perfection is far beyond the human grasp unaided by Our Light and saving love. And those who are committed to the Father's will and loving purpose can never be in total peace until the children of Our love are gathered in and brought to their fulfilment and perfection. But that will not be this side of eternity. And so there will be a perpetual yearning in the hearts and minds of all the Father's faithful ones.

But those who do not even seek to follow in the way and serve the Father and their fellow men will know an emptiness which nothing can resolve or fill. How can it be otherwise when He who made all things and created human kind designed each child of man for life with Him for ever through Our redeeming, sanctifying love?
