Friday, April 6th
Jesus said to His disciples,
See that you are dressed for action and have your lamps lit……You must stand ready,
because the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect"
Luke 12:35, 40

All that is needed to make each servant ready is provided by Our loving care. Everyone is offered personal gifts which endow him to become and to do all that the Father wills, ready to serve Him at every instance and in every circumstance, bringing to all that he encounters the light and love which he receives at Our hands.

And the Master comes frequently to engage His servant's service in daily activity for others in the Master's house. All that is offered comes from His bounty, and the servant is part of the receiving as well as the giving and the working. The whole household is designed for mutual loving service, and it is a great sadness to the Master that so many of His beloved servants are nether occupied in His work nor involved in His household. And some voluntarily leave the security and joy of the home He offers them.

The Master seeks to share with His trusted servants the burden of the household's care in activity, experience and being. And the time will come when He approaches each and every one of His servants to reward them according to the measure of their faithfulness. Whether that will bring judgement or joy is even now a matter for urgent attention and action in each and every one.
