Sunday December 11th
Jesus said, "Verily, verily I say unto you except a man be born again He cannot see the Kingdom of God"
John 3:3

No manner of thought nor even of prayer can avail for that child of the Father who will not accept for himself that which alone will suffice. And that is a dying to the natural self, that sturdy resilient selfhood which brought him into the world, cherished him in infancy and the early years of growth and development, and presented him poised for maturity in the opening of his life and prepared for training for service. The conditions of that rebirth are humility and openness , a desire to serve , and a commitment to love and cherish whatever it is given him to do and to become. And in that situation I work, Our Holy Spirit enlightens , strengthens and empowers, and the loving Heavenly Father undergirds . In that ongoing situation the faithful child of the Father progresses from strength to strength, though the way may often be rough and uncertain, with pain and loss at many turnings. Those who travel along this way, having made the sacrifice of natural selfhood not once but many times , are countless in number, and they are to be found in every part of the human family , in every religion and nation. Nor is this faithfulness confined to those who have a religious faith. Each and every one is known of the Father, enlightened by Our Holy Spirit even in the darkest times, and I am continually present in the hearts and minds of those who are true of heart and faithful in the following.
