Ezekiel 34:11-16.Luke 14:25-33

The Lord your God, creator of all that was or is or ever shall be, is father of all of His beloved sons and daughters, and He calls one and all to respond to His love and seek His will and loving purpose for them and for the contribution He calls them to make to His world in their life and living through faithfulness to His Word and self-giving in and though His love.

But let one and all responding realise and seek to understand that the way is challenging and demands not less than everything in their response to His love and light and leading. So was it for the Son of Man, the Father’s beloved Son, His Word and Love Incarnate, who prayed in the dark moments before His death that the cup of suffering might be removed from Him. But it was not.

Yet through My life and death and risen life the Father offers life eternal in time and through eternity to all continuing faithful even to the end in the sure knowledge that I am with them always, even to the end of time – and through eternity.
