Isaiah 4:2-6. Matthew 8:5-11

Let one and all in every place - in palace, homestead, sickbed and prison – everyone in the whole wide world - pray for peace in their time, and self-giving through the Prince of Peace, according to the Father's will and loving purpose.

The whole world is threatened by destruction through hatred, lack of trust, cupidity and destructive intentions. Let all who seek for holiness and constructive living pray – alone and in the fellowship of meeting – and give themselves to the Father’s Word of peace and love for Him, Father of all and King and Lord Most High, and for their brothers and their sisters near and far.

And let one and all know - in the deep places of their being - that the Father’s Love is powerful to fulfil His will and loving purpose in all responsive to His Word in faith and trust and self-giving.

Believe and trust, trust and believe, and offer heart and mind to Love’s indwelling and your comings and your goings to the light and power and leading of Our loving Holy Spirit.

‘Prayer takes place where heart speaks to heart, that is where the heart of God is united with the heart that prays. Thus knowing God becomes loving God, just as being known by God is being loved by God’ (Circles of Love by Henri Nouwen p.60.)
