1 Kings 21:1-16.  Matthew 5:38-42

“Master, which is the greatest commandment?

‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your might’.
That is the greatest commandment.  It comes first.

The second is like it:
‘Love your neighbour as yourself’.

Everything in the Law and the prophets hangs on these two commandments. (Matthew 22:36-40. N.E.B.)
