St. Justin Martyr
1 Corinthians 1:18-25 Matthew 5:13-19
Wisdom is given to those who pursue
truth in open-minded seeking and
in commitment to it when it is found.
‘Philosophy is the knowledge
of that which exits and a clear
understanding of the truth; and
happiness is the reward of such
knowledge and understanding. (Justin,
Dialogue with Trypho,3). It was
given to My apostle Paul to write,
‘God’s foolishness is
wiser than human wisdom and God’s
weakness stronger than human strength,
(1 Corinthians 1:25). So it is given
to all who are in Me and I in them
to grow in truth and understanding
and faithfulness in and through
Our redeeming, sanctifying love
and the light and power of Our Holy
Spirit.
The language of the Cross may be
illogical to those who are not on
the way but to those of us who are
on the way it is God’s power
to save. In seeking, and in obedience
to the Father’s will and loving
purpose is perfection and fulfilment
in the fulness of eternity. (1 Corinthians
:1:18)
Follow the Son of Man through death
to life that he may present you
to the Father.
