Friday, February 1st
2 Sam. 11:1-10, 13-17

All children of the Father are free to choose their way as daily they tread out their way in life and living. They are conditioned by the circumstance of family and place within community, and challenged by all they experience in the way. The seed of truth is planted in their soul from the beginning: it is the Father's word which grows within the secret places of the heart and mind.

And in the process of the daily round response is called for in the working out of life and living, of life and of relationship. As each child of man reacts to all that constantly befalls him so does he grow within his inner being, or fail through sin and lethargy of soul and failure in right orientation. The Father's forgiving love is constantly at hand to receive his true contrition and set him on the way of life again.
