Tuesday, August 4th
St. John Vianney, Priest
Ezekiel 3:16-21 Matt. 9:35-10:1

Realise the challenge and responsibility of your calling as a beloved son or daughter of your Heavenly Father. The Father calls each child of man to fellowship with Him and, through that growing and dynamic fellowship, to deep and loving service to humanity. That service is required in daily prayer for relatives and friends and neighbours, for needs identified in neighbourhood and nation and in the world at large - as Our Holy Spirit prompts, and action as We show, enable and empower. All faithful to His call to prayer and to self-giving are labourers in the Father's harvest.
