St. Anselm (1033-1109 A, D.)
Ephesians 3:14-19. Matthew 7:21-29

‘Seek and you will find (Matthew 7:7). And what does the seeker find? He finds the love which goes beyond all human understanding and the love which has no end. ‘Knock and the door of infinite love will be opened to you’. ‘And what is that love?’ you ask. Ask not ‘what’ but ‘who?’ for it is the incarnate love of the living, loving God, father of all in heaven and earth who seeks to make His home in all who seek to find and receive in faith and trust and self-giving.

The King of Glory seeks to draw you to Himself through the grace and power of Love’s indwelling that you may be filled with His power of loving, share with His other beloved sons and daughters in His love and offer your commitment to His will and loving purpose. ‘No-one will have any other desire in heaven than what God wills; and the desire of one will be the desire of all, and the desire of all and of each one will also be the desire of God’ (St Anselm, Opera Omnia , Letter 112)

Then open heart and mind to let the King of Glory in ‘I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life’. (John 14:6.) ‘Listen, I am standing at the door knocking. If you hear My voice and open the door I will come in (Revelation 3:20)
