St. Ignatius of Loyola
1 Corinthians 10:31-11:1 Luke 14:25-33

All that you have is given you by the Father: prodigally He gives according to His will and loving purpose. And all that is given is for the building of the whole in wholeness, holiness and for the extension of His Kingdom in His world –the progress of the one in the welfare of the many.

All is given to him who offers all, the measure far beyond all human understanding. But there needs must be a following in My footsteps through Gethsemane to Golgotha and a willingness to share the sadness and the suffering of the Son of Man.

But the night of pain and suffering is followed by the light and life and joy of everlasting day. For I have overcome the powers of darkness: I am the Resurrection and the Life.
