There was a prophetess, Anna,….she was well on in years . She never left the Temple, serving God night and day with fasting and prayer. She came by just at that moment and began to praise God, and she spoke of God to all who looked forward to the deliverance
Luke 2:36-38

Each and every one of the Father's beloved sons and daughters are called to become and do, in their short lifetime, that which is appointed and required for their development and maturity. And to each is given that illumination which will satisfy, illumine, inspire and bear witness to others in the way.

Such a one was Anna, faithful in her early years, devoted to the end. And it was given her to glimpse the light and salvation of future generations; the Salvation of every child of the Father of all times and places.

Anna is a pattern of faithfulness for all times, humble and unassuming yet true of heart and unswerving in her lifelong fidelity. As she continually offered prayer and her devotion and her very self to the Father in loving obedience, so was she given the knowledge and assurance of the joyful fulfilment of her hopes and prayers. In her words and her witness and her life she was herself a fulfilment of the Father's loving purpose.

And this is what every child of the Father is called to be; each man and woman and child is called to be a developing, flowering blossom on the tree of life, witnessing to joy and beauty and love.
