After sending the crowds away Jesus went up into the hills by Himself to pray
Matthew 14:23

The life and work, the person and commitment of the Son of Man was unique and world-sized. It was nothing less than the redemption of the world and every man and woman and child who had ever lived and would so do, and of the whole creation. The human mind cannot encompass or fathom the size and depth of the undertaking nor even begin to understand the cost.

But each seeker after truth can trace the pattern of My life and follow it in his own way as he is called and able. And if times of deep prayer and meditation were essential for my life and work how much more must they be sought for each and every one of those who call Me "Lord."

There is no more rewarding and fulfilling task than seeking the Father's peace in quiet stillness, His will in the silence of the heart and mind. My example beckons and guides, My Presence settles, encourages and completes whatever is lacking in commitment.

Seek the quiet place and the time daily, with longer periods from time to time, and the peace which passes knowledge will be yours, unity with the Father your reward and love the fabric of your being.
