St. Ignatius
of Loyola - 1696-1707
1 Corinthians
10:31-11:1. Luke 14:25-33
You were born into an imperfect
world, for so the sons and daughters
of the living, loving God have made
it. But you are called to work towards
its perfection according to the
Father’s will and loving purpose
in the grace and power His Love,
and follow as you are led and guided
by Our Holy Spirit.
Take up your cross in faith and
trust as it is offered you and follow
in the steps of the Son of Man to
the end, and carry it through My
sustaining love and the power given
to all continuing faithful in the
Way.
‘Receive, Lord, all my liberty,
my memory, my understanding and
my whole will. You have given me
all that I have, all that I am,
and I surrender it all to your divine
will. Give me only your love and
your grace and with this I am rich
indeed, and I have no more to ask.
(Prayer of St. Ignatius of Loyola.)
