Romans 2:1-11. Luke 11:42-46

The Father's gift to His world and to the son of men is love. Nature has its loving side - the sun's light and warmth, rain to enable crops to grow, water to cleanse and to assuage thirst, the regularity of the seasons - and so much more. Love is offered to the sons of men - mother and child, brother for brother and for his neighbour, and that wider love which embraces those in need, making good for them that which was lacking by virtue of the contrary side of nature or of man.

The Father's all-embracing, costliest gift to His world is His Beloved Son. Entering in the world of time Incarnate Love brings all things and all children of the Father to fulfilment and perfection who give themselves to Him in absolute self-giving and in love. Pray, pray that this be so in you and - through you - in many.
