Holy Innocents
1 John 1:5-2:2. Matthew 2:13-18

Sin destroys the sinner and brings suffering on all who entertain it and often on others in the path: all who turn from sin through the light and leading of Our Holy Spirit are forgiven, purified and brought to truth and progress in the way in the grace and power of Our redeeming, sanctifying love as they continue faithful in the way.

Life has its challenges, its dangers and its sorrows for one and all. Consider the sadness, grief and suffering of the Mother of Incarnate Love who held the body of her beloved Son in her arms. And consider the pain and anguish of the Saviour of the world.

The Most High, father of all born into the world, has all things in His compassionate, loving, hands. I, His beloved and loving Son, am ‘the sacrifice that takes your sins away and not only yours but the whole world’s’ and I am the fulfilment He offers one and all in His world.
