St. John of the Cross
1 Corinthians 2:1-10. Luke 14:25-33

The Most High, creator of all that is or was or ever shall be, sent His beloved and loving Son into the world of His creation to redeem and save and – through the light and power of Our Holy Spirit – bring the redeemed and sanctified creation into the joy and glory of eternal life and light and love. The cost no human being can ever know or fully understand.

But all may enter in the life-giving process of seeking, following and faithfulness to the Incarnate Word, the Son of Man, as they are led and guided by Our Holy Spirit. I, the Father’s Love Incarnate and His Incarnate Word, am the Light of the World, the Good Shepherd who gave His life for each and every one in the Father’s world and brings the faithfully committed in Our love to the glorious Presence of the Lord of All.

The Father looks for the marks of the suffering of His beloved Son in the sons and daughters of His love. Through faithfulness and self-giving even to the end of time the faithful identify with the Father’s suffering Love.
