Jesus said, "Where I am going you cannot follow Me now but you will follow later
John 13

Where I am there shall My servant be. So is he with Me when I call him, and he learns, as he faithfully follows, the loving purpose of His loving Father for himself and for his world, enabled and empowered to let it be fulfilled in and through him.

And soon the going is hard and difficult and he becomes weary along the way. I am in his weariness, offering strength and encouragement, lovingly restoring him when he falls or wanders from the way. From those who persevere in the strength and light of Our Holy Spirit I look for a sharing of the load of the Cross, each to accept that particular part which I offer him. So it was with My beloved Disciples. Theirs not to share the anguish of the cross. Some were indeed beside Me there, but for most their faithful sharing of My cross of suffering came later as they lived through their life in discipleship and commitment.

And now they rejoice with Me in the presence of the Father, with the countless thousands who have followed faithfully. Continuously they identify with Me in the Father's loving purpose in the world created for eternal joy with Him.
