Jesus said, "Many who are first will be last and the last first."
Matthew 19:30

Let all who follow Me look to all that they have received for understanding and living that life which they pursue and enjoy. And let each ask himself constantly and critically if he is satisfied with his performance and achievements. The criterion is that of obedience to his understanding of the will of the Father , and of his deepening of the quality of his life in the spirit.

Those who will shine most brightly at the end of time will be those who have grown in obedience to the will of the Father and have grown in the spirit through communion in depth. Many who are simple and unlettered will be first, by virtue of their faithfulness and self-giving in love, and, sadly, some of those whose responsibility in life was to tend and teach will be last.

The wise of the earth are not those who have most shone brightly in assembling and revealing the secrets of knowledge but those who have followed in the path set before them, constantly seeking to love and serve in the spirit of self-giving in the name and the power of the highest that they know.
