The Father's gift to each of His children is unique selfhood with rational potential : it is this which distinguishes him from all other sentient beings. And to that selfhood I address Myself from the beginning, loving it into growth and maturity. As this selfhood develops, at whatever pace , the child of the Father who continues in the way of his guiding offers the natural selfhood for something more enduring and profitable for himself and his world. Men call this 'soul', it is the cleansed, redeemed self which is given in response to the exercise of sacrificial love, however that love is experienced and expressed. That is the lifting up in the heart and mind of the Word of the Father. And those who so enthrone the Word possess the knowledge and the enabling power of understanding and right action which no-one can take from them. But the Son of Man was lifted up upon the cross of pain that the life and light of the Father's glorious creation might be restored to all who sought it and continued faithful in The Way. To them the , light and life are a part of their very being, indeed they are their being and enlightened selves. So all is one in the ambiance of My risen life in the cosmic context of the Father's loving purpose.
